Annual Yoder Trip!

The McCall Manor family took their Fall day trip to Yoder, Kansas on
Tuesday, Aug. 31st. The first stop was the Yoder Bakery where the famous home-made cinnamon rolls and bread are always a crowd-pleaser. For lunch, everyone dined at the Carriage Crossing resturant. A staple of the resturaunt is its delicous pies, coming in 21 different varieties! After lunch the group perused through downtown Yoder to do some shopping and walk off the wonderful lunch. To top things off, the Manor family stopped at the fruit market North of Hutchinson on the way back to Salina.

Patriotic Picnic

The annual Independence Day picnic was held at Bob and Ann McCall's home on Thursday, July 1st. The Manor Family enjoyed roasting hot dogs,
as well as serving baked beans and potato salad. The folks roasted
marshmallows, watched fireworks, and ate homemade ice cream and
cookies. This was a perfect evening for a picnic. Before everyone headed back to the Manor, each person received a glow rope necklace or bracelet.

Bell Choir Rings True to Residents

The St. James Ringers from the St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas recently paid a visit to McCall Manor. The group of 35, directed by Robert Lindley, is composed of students from the 8th grade to 12th grade. They have toured each summer since 1971. This year's tour included concerts in the Denver area and Salina, Kansas. McCall Manor was their only stop in Kansas.

Prior to the program, the Salina Chamber of Commerce came and give them a plaque welcoming them to Kansas and McCall Manor. After the concert, the choir and sponsors were treated to picnic on the patio and in the friendship room at McCall Manor.
